Project partners: First LEED Certified School in Arkansas The Bryant School District had already obtained funds to construct a new, conventional middle school. But after a leadership meeting, the school district decided to change to a high-performance, LEED certified green building. We utilized Trane’s PACT (Performance Agreement for Comfort from Trane) program, and were able to supplement the tight budget with an additional $987,000 to cover numerous green costs and achieve LEED certification. It is estimated that the new building will save $11.3 million in energy and operating costs over its lifetime.
